Applications are invited from suitable, qualified persons to fill the position of Risk Officer, reporting to the Risk, Compliance & Legal Manager.
⦁Reviewing and assessing Industry Best Practices, Policies and Procedures as well as Standards issued by The Bank of Jamaica.
⦁Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and standards aimed at mitigating the Credit Union’s risk exposure.
⦁Ensures the enforcement of risk management policies and standards by carrying out periodic and random test for compliance.
⦁Carries out tests of systems operating within the Credit Union, document observations of non-compliance with accepted policies and procedures and reports any deviations
⦁Prepares risk reports for management and regulator analysis.
⦁Ensures that all Credit Union’s keys are properly labelled, keys and codes are secured and kept under dual custody and are made available to authorized staff, in accordance with the Keys Register
⦁Maintains and updates the record of Service Level Agreements and advises the relevant Business Department Managers of upcoming expiration dates.
⦁Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
⦁Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration
or equivalent Qualifications.
⦁Two (2) years’ work experience in risk management at a financial institution
⦁Ability to read and interpret technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, laws and regulations.
