As of next Tuesday, January 3, 2017, almost 70,000 members of the Hanover Co-operative Credit Union and the Montego Co-operative Credit Union will begin benefiting from a wider variety of products and services under a merger of the two entities.
The combined operation is to be undertaken under a new trading name, Gateway Co-operative Credit Union (2017) Limited.
The members of the Hanover Co-operative Credit Union voted for the merger in February at their annual general meeting, and the membership of the Montego Bay institution voted for the union in June.
